The Plug&Play USB-RS232 Module protects the personal computer with a DC/DC converter and high-speed optocouplers to the RS232 side.

The status of all COM signals, as TXD, RXD, RTS, CTS, DSR, DCD and DTR will be shown by LED ( Light emitting diodes ).
The module doesn't require an external power supply, due to the very low power requirements of approxmatly 390 mAmps.
A 0,5Amps Polyswitch-Fuse protects the module, the pc and USB port from short circuits.
The transfer rate is up to 230kbps and built in FIFO allows a wide range of measuring aplications where RS-232 is replaced by USB (i.e. new PCs, Notebooks,..).

The modul can be used for all USB enabled operating systems as Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 , XP. The personal computer detects the modul as COM port device, and installs the appropriate USB to RS232 drivers.
